I work predominantly in graphite, marker, watercolor, and ink, with occasional forays into charcoal, often incorporating language into my imagery. Self-Figurative Work
The bulk of my work involves self-investigation, and the transformation of writing exercises and journaling into visual image. I find the experience of self-portraiture and focusing with an artist eye on my own figure to be a deeply healing exercise in mindfulness and compassion. Click any image to enlarge. Kid Prompts
In 2022, I found myself bored and asked my friend if her then-7 year old would tell me what to draw. What began as a still-pandemic-era time-filler evolved into Kid Prompts: an illustration series, a YouTube show, and some day (I hope!) a book and an interactive, traveling gallery exhibition!
